Linwood House rated ‘Good’ by CQC
Linwood House was rated Good based on the CQC’s judgement of the quality of care at the location based on their findings during the two day inspection in October 2018 and after reviewing information available to them from patients, the public and other organisations. The service was rated Good overall for being caring, responsive, well-led, safe and effective.
Some of the findings in the report that resulted in Linwood House being rated ‘Good’ included client records containing a risk assessment that staff reviewed daily, effective procedures in place for the administration of medication, clients being admitted through a robust admissions assessment process, staff demonstrating a thorough knowledge of clients individual needs, the service responding promptly to requests to access support and a flexible approach to treatment options available.
Feedback from clients using the centre was that “staff were always available and approachable” and some said “staff would go the extra mile to provide the support they needed.” Client feedback received between July and September 2018 indicated 98% of clients rated their experience of the service as good or excellent and 91% would recommend the service to others.
Andrew Quigley, Head of Operations at Care Plus Group said:
“The staff at Linwood House are pleased to have received a ‘Good’ rating from the CQC for the quality of care they provide. Inspectors found the feedback from our service users to be very complimentary, particularly around the caring attitude of our staff and indeed we receive the same feedback from our own surveys and the many thank you cards we receive.
As with anything, there are areas for improvement and we welcome the report and the opportunity to improve Linwood House even further by working on these highlighted areas.”
