Since joining UKAT in 2022, Ananya Churchill has been a compassionate and steady presence for individuals and families reaching out at some of the most difficult points in their lives. She began her journey as an administrative assistant, where her warmth, attentiveness, and commitment to helping others quickly set her apart. Recognised for her ability to listen without judgement and create a safe, reassuring space, Ananya soon became a valued Admissions Coordinator, a role in which she continues to make a meaningful difference every day.
As one of the first voices people hear when they reach out for support, Ananya understands the courage it takes to make that initial call. She takes pride in guiding people through those first, often overwhelming steps, whether by answering urgent questions from a worried family member or gently supporting someone who feels uncertain about treatment. With patience, empathy, and clarity, she ensures every person she speaks with feels heard, respected, and cared for.
What Ananya values most about her role is the human connection it brings. Every story she hears deepens her understanding of the challenges people face and the bravery it takes to seek help. She sees admissions not just as a process, but as someone’s first step towards a brighter future, an experience she finds both humbling and inspiring:
Outside of work, Ananya’s adventurous spirit mirrors the openness and curiosity she brings to her professional life. She is an avid traveller with a love for the outdoors, taking on challenges such as hiking Mount Toubkal in Morocco, an experience that tested her resilience and gave her a renewed perspective. She believes these adventures help her connect more deeply with others, reminding her of the importance of perseverance, courage, and embracing new experiences.
For Ananya, working at UKAT is more than a job; it’s a calling. Her journey within the organisation reflects not only her personal and professional growth, but also her unwavering belief in the power of compassion. Whether guiding someone into treatment or exploring a new trail across the world, Ananya embodies empathy, strength, and hope, making her a cherished member of the UKAT family.

“Every person who reaches out to us has their own story, and I feel privileged to be part of the very first step in their recovery journey. For me, it’s about listening with empathy and making sure they know they are not alone.”
